"Life isn't always sunshine and daisies, scholarship student Charlie Summers knows that very well. Since her mother passed away and her father fled his responsibilities, everyday became a trial.. But Charlie is determined to do everything to protect her brother, be it lying to the authorities and neighbors, imitating her father's signature, or letting everyone think she's a boy.No matter if her schoolmates think she's a weirdo with no friends, she has only one goal in mind: reaching graduation and majority without trouble!"

Humor me, by user Marvin, is calm. It's funny. Its comic structure is impeccable. Getting to know the colorful (not literally) characters is an absolute joy. Read Humor me if you enjoy more slow-burning tales. Updates weekly.
bastard comics, by user el Fury, is a laugh-a-day webcomic about such topics as drugs, women's topics, and gratuitous Stan Lee movie cameos. Here's a favorite of mine. If you're looking for a webcomic with a funny and unique voice, bastard comics is for you. Updates every couple of weeks.
Heroes of Thantopolis by user Strontium is a huge, epic, sprawling story-driven webcomic about a boy named Cyrus who journeys through Thantopolis and fights bad guy ghosts, makes friends, and uncovers mysteries. Clocking in at 150 or so pages and still going, HoT is a monster of a series. It's extremely colorful, very creative, and beautifully illustrated with a fun cartoony style. If you're a fan of sprawling epics, Heroes of Thantopolis is for you!
"Evangelina is an 18 year old girl with a very normal life. She likes to play the guitar, smoke joints, and stay outside talking to her friend Susi, instead of going to high school. However, one day her routine is shattered when she runs into a mysterious talking Labrador dog."

Sounds crazy, right? Second Coming is a webcomic by Abel Alives and Juan Caminador. What I appreciate the most about this comic is its willingness to talk about adult subject matter, like drugs, sex, and masturbation. The story is also well-told, keeping you guessing and intrigued up until its big twist. Updates monthly.
iota, by user stepoversnails, is adorable comics about "a bunch of dumb bugs and other small things." While this webcomic isn't story driven, it's cute, offbeat, and fun! Here are some of my favorites.
The Strange Tales of Oscar Zahn, by Tri Vuong, is a story-driven webcomic about the titular Oscar Zahn. Not much is spelled out out for the reader, but I gather that this story is about a skeleton man who is a contracted monster hunter. The brief pages of this webcomic contain heart and beautiful, if not creepy illustrations. You will not forget who Oscar Zahn is after reading this.

I Hate Mondays is a slice of life webcomic by Margaret Dyan. I personally love this webcomic because of it's cartoon, anime-inspired style. It's also heartfelt, relatable, and funny! Here are some of my favorite posts. Updates every couple of weeks.
